This is a picture from today's New York Times. It is a picture of British moms ("meat pie mums") coming to a school to sell junk food - meat pies (natch!), chips (fries), burgers, etc. One kid in the article is quoted as loving his "french-fries-and-butter sandwich, doused in vinegar." Oh, and it's probably processed white bread, to boot.Jamie Oliver tried to revolutionize the way kids eat in British schools. It apparently didn't go over very well.
I find this picture to be ridiculously funny. The obesity epidemic, not so much.
But really, it's all about getting used to different food. These mums aren't helping.
